Finland is a theatre country.

Finland's theatres are developing and renewing, and have and increasingly lively reciprocal relation with the world's many theatre cultures. This development has also increased the demand for and the importance of information.


TINFO, the Finnish Theatre Information Centre, was founded to answer the needs for information on theatre of the home as well as the international market.

TINFO is the Finnish  Centre of the International Theatre Institute (ITI) and the Nordic Theatre Union (NTU).

TINFO gathers information on professional theatres in Finland and abroad. The theatre statistics published every year, cover the repertory, spectator, employee and economic figures of Finnish professional theatres.

TINFO edits publications to serve as instruments for professionals and guides for theatre lovers. The magazine Finnish Theatre - Théâtre finlandais tells in English and French about Finland as a theatre country.

TINFO organizes international and national theatrical events, seminars, workshops, festivals in cooperation with other organisations.
