So called national stages are the National Opera, the National Theatre, the Swedish Theatre and TTT- Theatre of Tampere. In 2006 45 drama theatres and 11 dance theatres fell within the Theatre and Orchestra Law. Of drama theatres six  are Swedish language. Outside the legistlation of theatres is a growing number of professional theatre and dance groups. The professional theatres produce annually appr.  450 opening nights. The total number of performances is more than 15.000. From Theatre search you will find contact information and links to the professional theatres, theatre groups and professional dance groups. From Premieres you will find future opening nights of professional theatres, updated by TINFO (in Finnish). The Performance search links you to kulttuuri.net  - gateway to Finnish culture.
